The arms are at least 50% of running yet most triathletes let them do as they wish without conscious effort in using them to refine form. These are not my original ideas, rather my assimilation of many sessions with Bobby McGee, possibly the greatest running coach alive, and one of the smartest people I've been aquainted with. There is a kinetic chain of motion that connects your upper and lower body. Right arm connected to left leg and left arm connected to right leg. What one limb does mirrors & synergistically affects the other. Shoulder and hip are connected, elbow and knee are connected, wrist and ankle are connected.
Arms swing naturally from the shoulder joints which should be loose and relaxed and respond naturally to the movement and motion of the alternate hip.

This 4 week Triathlon focused clinic incorporates the Total Immersion principals of continuous improvement and enjoyment in a unique approach not found in most masters practices or swim workout lists. Each week we will focus on one four components of Whole Stroke Practice. Not only will we help you learn to swim better, but you'll also learn to find enjoyment in every single stroke that you take.Throughout the four week clinic we will help you develop grace in the water (efficiency), sustain your graceful efforts longer (endurance), and maintaining graceful movements at higher efforts (speed). Each practice will take you further into your own exploration of the lifelong process of swimming mastery.

Testimonials
I've been feeling really good workout-wise. Almost too good. The 4 hr rides I've done were really easy ( physically and mentally), compared to when I would do long rides in the past and even when you had me doing long rides to prepare for Big Bear. The intervals have been good. Although those VO2 intervals are brutal. Todd Schoeni, Pro Bikes Endurance MTB Racer |
