Swim Workouts for Triathletes

International / Olympic Distance “E” 1200 yds

Warmup
8 x25 Alternate Fist Drill with Freestyle every 25
Main Set
8×50 Freestyle – Evens high tempo, long strokes; Odds low tempo, long strokes
3×200 Balanced breathing (either alternate right side with left side breathing or breath every 3 strokes)
1×300 Practice Off-side breathing every 3rd length.
Cool Down
4×50 Rollercoaster Freestyle – Start with higher tempo and slow tempo gradually throughout so that the final length has the lowest SPL
